I know a lot of people use bottle for their children and there is all types of them out there. I found that the Dr. brown bottles are really nice because they have different nipples for different ages. My sister liked the bottles with the bags because it was less mess to clean up and after they were done they just threw away the bag. So my suggesting is try a couple of different types until you found one you like and one the baby likes. A lot of bottle now are BPA free. BPA stands for Bisphenol A which is a chemical that 95% of bottles are made of unless it states BPA free. It's a chemical that makes the plastic and it's a synthetic sex hormone that mimics estrogen and when the bottle is heated it can release the chemical and create developmental problems in a baby.
Now when you decide to give your baby milk the best thing is to give them it in a cup right away. I did this with when my 14 month was about 10 months and it made it so much easier to get rid of the bottle. You do two things at once if you do this. You introduce them to a new product but at the same time you are introducing them to a cup and getting rid of the bottle. Bottles are very hard to get rid of but once your child starts drinking out of a cup get rid of the bottle all together. Don't even give them a bottle at night. Now when you are giving them a cup make sure you give them a variety of cups or it will be the same as a bottle they will depend on that one cup because they get used to the nipple.
I made the mistake and found a cup my son liked and did not switch it out. I would clean it and give it back to him and never thought about getting more of that type. Well here is what happened. The nipple got so worn out it finally got to the point where it was leaking and I had to get rid of it I had a long night. We offered him the same type of cup and he would not take it . I gave him three different types of cups with milk in them to try to get him to drink no luck. After about 2 and half hours I broke down and put a little bit of chocolate in his milk in the same type of cup just new nipple. Once he got a taste of it he decided to try it and we finally got him to use the new nipple. So just remember to switch up your cups, so you don't have to go Thur all that stress .
