Boys will be Boys

If you have been following my page you should now. I have three boys 9, 15 months and almost 4 weeks. My older son is really into Washington Capitals like his daddy. They play hockey during the intermissions of the game. My husband bought little indoor hockey sticks for the two boys but my husband and sons play together.

We moved him to his bed and he slept in there until 3:30 then he came into our room and went back to sleep. He did not ask for a cup of milk until the alarm went off around 6.

Decided on drinking material for your child

I know a lot of people use bottle for their children and there is all types of them out there. I found that the Dr. brown bottles are really nice because they have different nipples for different ages. My sister liked the bottles with the bags because it was less mess to clean up and after they were done they just threw away the bag. So my suggesting is try a couple of different types until you found one you like and one the baby likes. A lot of bottle now are BPA free. BPA stands for Bisphenol A which is a chemical that 95% of bottles are made of unless it states BPA free. It's a chemical that makes the plastic and it's a synthetic sex hormone that mimics estrogen and when the bottle is heated it can release the chemical and create developmental problems in a baby.

2nd day sleeping thur the night

Last night we gave my 14 month old his cup and we read 2 books. Then he laid down and fell asleep on my lap. So we moved him to his bed and got him settle in. He woke up at 2 o'clock , my husband put him back in his bed gave him a little bit of milk and rubbed his back until he fell asleep. Well 3:30 he woke up again this time i was feeding my youngest and my 14 month would not go back to sleep in his bed so we let him come back to our bed. My thought was we made it to 3:30 now tonight we will have to make it to 4 before he is allowed in our bed. Like i said before it is hard because of having the baby but if we keep with it we will have him sleeping in his own bed soon enough. Just remember after a little while it will be worth it. You will have your bed back and not have to worry about hurting your child or having their diaper leak or having a accident in your bed.

Hope you had a good night too. Please keep me updated on your progress.

When to cut your sons hair

I have a 14th month old that was born with a lot of hair. I took him for a hair cut once and they really made it look bad. Me and my mom has trimmed it up but it is getting to the point where people are thinking he is a girl. I really need to get it shaped but me and my husband loves his hair and just want it shaped not cut short. I am not sure what we should do? Please leave me some comments and let me know what we should do.

Getting my 14month old to sleep in room all night

Every sense i bought my baby home my 14th month old will not sleep all night in his room. I Have not been able to really get him to stay in his room. We will be starting a routine today to try to get him to stay in his room without his cup. I had the hardest time breaking my older son from needed a drink at night. It is very hard on me and harder on my husband because we get no sleep. My husband has to go to work so he really needs some sleep. This is what i plan on doing.

1. We will go to his bed and read a story and drink our milk cup.
2. then he will lay in his bed and i will sit on the floor next to it.
3. when he does fall to sleep we will tuck him in and go to bed.
4. when he wakes up i will go to his room tuck him back in and rub his back maybe even read another story or listen to a lullaby.
5. we will do this every time he gets up and see how he does.

I will keep updating you every day and give you advice . Please give me your advice too.

Trust your instincts

In November of 2009, my son was diagnosed with pneumonia. He was treated with an antibiotic for 10 days. I called the doctor on the 10th day due to him being up all night and having trouble breathing and he was grunting as he breathed. I called and they originally told me to try to make it thru the weekend, because he was still on the antibiotic and he just needed more time. But 30 min. after talking to the doctor on the phone, my son was getting worst. So I called the doctor back and told them I was bringing him in. When I got there, my son was screaming really bad and I could not get him to calm down .
