Breastfeed

I have breast feed all three of my children. Every time it was a different experience. With my two youngest ones I found out that it makes a different if your son or daughter is tongue tied which is more common then known .(This is where their tongue is attached to the bottom of their mouth more then it should be). You should ask your hospital to have an ENT to cut it while at the hospital. This is not painful at all and they will not remember it . With my youngest I had this done and he latched on much better which made my milk came in a lot faster then with my middle child who I waited until I left the hospital to have his tongue cut. Now if you do breastfeed I will let you know it does hurt for the first couple of days until you get the baby latched on the correct way. The Nurses at the hospital should help and make sure the baby is latching on the correct way. Make sure you use the cream on your nipples. I do believe that breastfeeding helps shrink you stomach faster because it makes you have contractions which is normal and this makes your stomach shrink. I gave my middle child a bottle with formula and tried to breastfeed because of the tongue tied issue and my milk never came in fully. So for the first couple of weeks even months I would suggest not to give your child formula. But i think it is a good idea to offer a bottle of breast milk just in case something happens and you can not breastfeed them. This is some of the things i have learned with my experience of breastfeeding. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to leave one and leave your email with any questions and i will try to help you.
